VaporRemed: Down the memory lane: Case Study 5.

Vapor Mitigation: Release of fuel from Above Ground Storage Tank:

Soils and Environment Services, Inc. Virginia, conducted Petroleum Vapor Assessment, and mitigated the source using VaporRemed as per Vapor Corrective Action Plan from a reported release from a residential Aboveground heating oil Storage Tank (AST) at a residence in Virginia. The fumes were found to reach the second level of the house and even in the electrical outlets as the release was apparently trapped in the cinder block wall. VaporRemed was injected through the soil and into the affected wall and the fumes were eliminated after the treatment. VaporRemed was injected on 21st April, 2005 and the results recorded on May 10, 2005 showed almost Below Detect Levels at most sampling sites.
